Additionally, this material can be used in the construction of short weapons such as axes or maces to be used in live role-playing adventures where a standard of hardness of the weapons must be met in order not to harm other players.

In cosplay, when hard or rigid materials are used to make armour, such as EVA foam or thermoplastic ThermoArt, it is crucial to ensure that the inside of these pieces is comfortable for the wearer. This is where polyethylene foam comes into play. Because it is lightweight, flexible, and has a soft texture, it is ideal for placing inside the armour pieces, preventing the user from chafing or discomfort after long periods of use. In addition, it acts as a padded barrier that better distributes the weight of the pieces, reducing pressure on certain areas of the body, especially in prolonged events such as conventions or cosplay parades.
