Altar of the Dead Gods

Altar of the Dead Gods is a Lovecraftian grimdark skirmish game.

The game consists of capturing the sacred relics of the Ancients scattered across the playing field set in a Buried Temple , using the elements of your warband.

Altar of the Dead Gods has a fast and tactical game system , very easy for novices but with a high level of learning for all pro players.

The game lasts a maximum of one hour and is played by two people . To achieve the game objectives, you will have to face each other on the battlefield, each with your own warband and characters.

The warband is made up of 7 characters. Each character has unique strengths and abilities that, together with the other members of the warband, will allow you to conquer sacred relics, gain points, and win the game!

To represent the figures in your warband, you can choose to use miniatures you already own or you could use some RPG Tokens – such as familiars to represent the hounds in the hunter warband or cultists to represent the cultists faction.

To represent the battlefield, you're free to choose a standard tabletop, as the playing area is small and, although the missions modify the playing arena, the actual area itself doesn't change. Alternatively, to make the gaming experience even more exciting, we at Pwork Wargames have developed a neoprene gaming mat that adapts perfectly to the setting and the playing arena. 

To represent actions you can use tokens while to represent each faction you can use the two decks Primus and Secondus .

Game Features

• Game length: 45-60 minutes. Fast and brutal, but very tactical!
• Number of players: 2, 1 vs 1
• Warbands: Vampires, Hunters, Bloodwitches, Cultists, Church Pilgrims, and Decadent Waltz.
• Playing field: square grid
• Missions: arenas that can be replayed multiple times
• 100-page full-color rulebook with all the rules, 5 missions, and warband features

All that remains is for you to explore the Buried Temple and try to obtain the sacred relics of the Ancients and face the horrors that lurk in the abyss.
But remember, you're not the only one who wants the power of the Temple!
